Windows 8.1 Tablet - How to use it as player ?

Hello !
Up to day i use BR player & Xtreamer to play my rips, now i want to use my tab for playing the rips thro micro HDMI, Which player is suitable to play DTS & AC3 & AAC audio to denon amp. will the VLC player give the same result as my BR & Xtreamer, or i have install a different player.

Not sure whether the tablet allows for pass through feature but you can try it if it is available. Otherwise I believe the tablet is downmixing the DTS,DD,AC3 and other audio before passing it over to the AVR.

Check if the tablet allows bitstreaming via micro HDMI. I don't think its possible (at least that's what I understand you are trying to achieve here).

Hello musicbee,
I just want to try my tab as a player for my projector, i tried it last night with my denon amp, the rips with dts sound shows when played thro VLC player it shows as neo 6 in the denon amp & if i play the same file thro my xtreamer my amp shows as dts and my pioneer bdp 450 shows as multi in.
