Hi guys, longtime lurker first time poster here.

Coming to the topic, We recently upgraded our main television to Samsung 40F6400, ever since that upgrade I kind of moved my late night movie watching from Desktop to TV.

The issue now is using headphones for late night watching. Owing to the distance between TV and the couch, the headphones cable length is not sufficient. So basically I came up with these options.

1) Use a 3.5mm Extension cable and if that's not sufficient, using couplers to join the cables. The problem is there is no RCA audio out on TV, so the existing 3.5mm audio out is connected to our old Hifi, so unplugging it everytime is an issue in this case and also the cable clutter would be an issue if I want private watching during daytime.

2) Samsung soundbars use Bluetooth to transmit audio right? Via Soundshare? Is there anyway to stream audio over bluetooth to other devices as well? If not then I might have to buy a bluetooth transmitter! I already have Sony SBH20 and a couple of other Bluetooth headsets, so no need to buy new gear for receiving end and moreover no cable clutter. But the concern is whether there would be any delay in the audio?

3) Going for Wireless Headphones. I'm not convenient with this option coz I already own a clutter of IEM's and headphones, so I don't want another pair just for this purpose and moreover I didn't had a good experience with some low end fm based stuff.

What do you think is a better solution for my issue? Any other options?

Go for wireless headphones especially sennheiser rs 120 ii best suitable for ur case mrp is 6990 .performance is great with this headphone. you can connect to wireless unit to the tv headphone jack and have your headphone wireless reach 100m.

What is your budget?

Budget as in I'm trying to avoid getting wireless headphones and more oriented towards a bluetooth solution. So 2-3k is fine with me.

As I mentioned earlier, getting them is my last option. But I read mixed reviews with RS120, can you compare the sound signature to any wired ones?

So you think bluetooth sound solution is better than sennheiser rs 120 ii then you should go with that only.I have sennheiser px80 , the sound is quality is more than that in senheiser rs 120.If you want better sound signature than you should look for sennheiser hd650 which is of 25k .in my opinion no bluetooth option under your budget can match not even with sennhesier px80 forget sennhesier rs120ii.

I never used any Senn, So I cannot comment on the SQ. The only hp's I used were AD700, T500 and a CM Sirus.

I didn't say bluetooth solution was better SQ wise, I tried to say it's more practical for my usage with minimum investment, the only doubt being audio delay. Another advantage is that I can have the possibility of sharing wireless audio by plugging in a splitter to SBH20.

sriharsha_m ..... dont know if i am late replying to your post..... i recently bought intex wireless phones for late night TV viewing IT-HP904FM
for a price of just about Rs. 600/- you definitely cant go wrong
has been working for me just fine.

Would not buy intex, iball etc. Stay away from then. They all dont last 2-3 months and interference becomes very irritating after some time. Have tried enough for my mom before settling down with Philips.

Simple: if you have the option, exchange for something else and save that 600rs

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.. do not buy cheapo Wireless headphone ( with built in radio etc etc blah bah. ) they have a lot of interference and range is very less.

transmitter and receiver needs to be in same line else helluva distortion.

if budget is not more pick up a sony cable headphone for like 1k and use a good quality extension cable. it will be the best you can make for the money.
