Hi,

are there any good reco on wireless powered subwoofer system ?
Pls share the links if possible

Budget : <20K

Polk DSW Pro 660 WI, the WI series is supporting wireless integration but you need to buy the transmitter and receiver separately at an additional cost of around 8K INR

true, more than that in my current place I have to keep this in the living room which is small one, the showcase takes up most of the space , the sub will be protruding from the show case and would be on the way to the dining area.

want to avoid that.

First of all in 20K you may not get a good sub first hand, wireless would be on top of that anyway. What is your current setup chain?

But still if you insist, you can try DIY options in low cost list FM based transmitter and receiver (never tried), 2.4 / 5 GHz onces will be costly anyway.

If you can import you can look at this option and buy subwoofer separately Rocketfish Wireless Subwoofer TransmitterReceiver Kit RF-WSW312 - Best Buy

thanks for the reply

current HT setup :

samsung dvd->Denon 1306->Klipsch RB 10 Left, right ( 50W), C1 centre (50W)

never mind - all are old models though :-)

no surrounds again due to running of wires across walls, can't do concealed now.

thought wireless sub would be very much used but it seems it's not so popular

Btw, perf wise, do you know if wireless sub will do good job compared to wired one ?

Have never got a A/B comparison chance, but technically it should be same. Take examples of your 2.4 GHz cordless phones that runs on similar frequencies as wireless subs, you do not find voice clarity drops or distortions if you are within the range. Same applies for this one too.
