Issue Details with images: Details with images are produced below:

1. Green-Pink Vertical Lines : The green-pink lines are visible all across the panel. I have clicked images for your ready reference.

In the suggested case, I am experiencing multiple vertical & horizontal lines. Historically, Panasonic has replaced sets even if users experienced even single green line.

2. Uneven Brightness : Screen has uneven brightness, which is reflected clearly by attached pictures. Pictures are taken in an absolute dark room, with no ambiance light.

3. Cannot display BLACK: Possibly related to above brightness

I used a black slide for display. Please see the result. My acer notebook with far cheaper screen showed it as dark black.

I have called Panasonic per your inputs...Thanks for sharing your observations :-)

Also, above deal was offered by many others as well...

As till 2-3 weeks back there was no instruction from company on how many glasses come with 42 XT 50...I had seen the letter which later clarified 1 with 42 & 2 with 50....

Also, 47+HT+1 3D glass is still on offer@Same shop or others...

Panasonic guys are visiting on Saturday.....

Also, i have opened this thread as I could see vertical lines on pics of some other fellow as well..Thought that others should know this clearly and get saved, in case this is a common defect across X or XT series..

30-40..hours at best

Your tv is still in the break in stage. I suggest you to use break in slides. The issue might be a result of an uneven break it. Your phosphors are still maturing so maybe it'll be ok after 100 + hours. However, you should get it checked anyway :)

Also try disabling all types of software enhancements in the settings.

I visited a Pana shop and when I closely watched Green & Pink lines were also on Display piece, in USB mode at least....I checked ST30 also had it however relatively lighter in shade....

Lines are prominent when I am using Break in slides ...Problem is engineers from companies hardly know anything. My Sony LCD had issues and 3rd guy agreed this is a major problem and recalled the LCD.

I could not check the uneven brightness thing given the showroom conditions of using too much bright light....!!

Thanks Buddy. I am using slides. However, its is just for 30% duration.

I am using TV and USB mostly. I am using zoom 3 and settings are:

Contrast: 25
Brightness: -20
Color:25
Sharpness: 25

All other controls are set to off part from intelligent frame creator.

These lines are more clearly visible when I am using break-in slides..

Are these lines visible from normal viewing distance (>5 feet) while watching content from dth or something?

Final Verdict - Engineer Visit & comparison with other X50

Hi,

Engineer visited today and must say what a humble man.

He shared the images through service menu and said those lines are normal.

Also, I had visited pana shop and found those lines on XT50.

He also added, problem is when thick line appear. He further added, if there was a problem, service menu would throw an error.

Finally, he suggested no need to worry, if there is a problem, we always replace the complete set.

Guess, it is common across all sets.

Blasto: Bro whats your take? I rely usually on your inputs. :-))

Not sure if it has anything to do with this. Anyways, this is straight from the horses mouth

Q11. I have noticed over-emphasized green tones in the picture. Can it be turned off?

Answer:

Panasonic plasma TVs have a special circuitry called Color Management. This feature automatically enhances green and blue to achieve a more vivid color reproduction, especially for outdoor scenes. This feature is set On by default, however, it can be turned off within the menu's Picture settings.
