Yamaha 3067 or rx-v481

Hi guys,

I am planning to buy a yamaha av receiver. After some research I found yamaha 3067 and rx-v481. But, here I am little confused about 3067. Since it's already discontinued by the manufacturer and have no clue about the year of make. However, I have experienced this model with Polk tl1600 and I loved it. But, some of my friends are suggesting not to go with it. Since it's a discontinued model. So, I am thinking of yamaha rx-v481, no doubt, this is a better model than 3067 in teams of features. But, will there be any difference in sound quality or performance? Otherwise I don't need all those extra features of rx-v481,not even Bluetooth. So, should I go for rx-v481 or 3067 is still a good choice?

Hi

Go for the AVR which you will use to its full potential....if you dont want the extra features...go for the basic avr.....i believe possibly Vijay sales maybe selling this avr

Yamaha v-481 is a better option over 3067.

Go for 481,
it has few good features like wifi, which lets you play music off the network, also control the amp using smart phone.

i have both the models, so with personal experience will suggest 481.

Thank you all for your suggestions. Now I am not able to decide whether I should go for 5.1 polk tl 1600 package or some good pair of tower speakers. The purpose is both movies and music and my living room size is appx 180 to 200 sq ft. So it would great if you guys could share your opinion. BTW, I have already auditioned polk s50 series tower speakers and I liked it. If you know something better than this with similar price range then please let me know.
