yamaha 573 or denon 1713

i m really confused between yamaha 573 and denon 1713....though yamaha has good features but denon looks to be have better sound processing including audessey...please help me with some feedback

From what I underestand Yamaha 573 has 4k pass through capability not sure how useful is that, apart has 7.1 where as Denon 1713 has integrated network capability for Internet radio and DLNA apart from AirPlay , but is 5.1.


Let me know the prices for both and which speakers are you eyeing ?

If any feature that you can't live without now (or maybe in near future) is not present in Yamaha... then go for Denon. Otherwise go with yamaha. I have used in the past 10 years Denon 2805, 1910, 391XP, 1312 and from Yamaha only the 471 which is my latest receiver. Only 2805 was a receiver i would consider a good product. 1910 was decent... But, in the budget range below those two, Denon is not good. 471 is much better than 1612, 1312 etc... Of course I am basing all this primarily on SQ (which according to me is the most important).

mate ur comparing two receivers which are not in the same leage/lineup. At most the 1713 can be compared to the 473, and to my ears the 473 was much better than the 1713 (got the 473 recently).
The yamaha seems to have a much fuller sound as compared to the denons. I had honestly ranked the pioneers ahead of the denons and for me it was between the pioneer 922 v/s the yamaha 473.

Agree with @edge111hussain, denon 1713 should be compared against Yamaha 473, between which speakers with 473 , main differences / comparison with 1713 and 573 and lastly the price for 473?

i personally feel denon is better then Yamaha, would prefer first demo both and let your ear decide the best one.

With Yamaha you will get clean sound,Denon can be a bit punchy.

I agree with Spirovious ; with some personal; experience I would recommend the Yamaha. Given a chance I would also suggest you to audition and make the call and am sure you would agree too


P.S: Also wanted to know what speakers are you gona pair your amp with ?

Also soundout prices r similar but say 500 bucks more.
