Yamaha RX-V750

Hi All

I Have a Yamaha RX-V750 which turns off after a couple of seconds when you turn it on. Going into service mode for the first time it reads PRT 21 E , the second time it reads PRT 20 E. Would anyone know what these faults are so I can nut this out?

I had PS PRT error in my Yamaha AVR and the codes for the same were in the service manual or the user manual (don't recall exactly). That gave me a clue that my power supply board had an issue. Ultimately I had to replace an SMPS IC TOP 254. I had lot of help from folks in eevblog.com who helped me troubleshoot. I guess you will have to find out the exact meaning of PS PRT 21 E and PS PRT 20 E from the service/user manual. Once you know what those errors mean, it could help in guessing the likely board/component causing the protection to kick in.
