Hello,
I am the first time buyer of HTiB. After much research, I shortlisted Yamaha YHT-296 and denon DHT-1312XP as these two models fit into my budget of 35k.

I have seen demo of YHT-296 but haven't seen demo of denon DHT-1312XP. Looking at the configuration of 1312XP looks like it offers same configuration as YHT-296.

My requirement is also to attach 3d blue ray player with AV receiver. I have seen a feature in YHT-296 that when receiver is turned off then HDMI pass through is available hence, there is no need to change the cable which I liked it and preferred to have it. I am not sure about this feature available with Denon DHT-1312XP.

Can anyone suggest me between these two models which one is the best buy?

Any help is much much appreciated.

Thanks

Denon... Which receiver? 1312 or 1612. Yamaha RX v571 is only 16500 on Junglee.com what about the discounted price.

Yamaha RX V571 has advanced features over Denon entry level

Iam planning to buy a HOME theater with all advanced fetures my budget is 25 - 30 k
my preferences are DENON YAMAHA !
Iam annoyed with with the price variations ,unable to decide where to buy ?

I got yamaha 298. Choose it mainly because of 4k passthru and YAPO. Compared it against Onkyo and pioneer. Yamaha stood out in terms of sound quality

I mainly use it for music.

Got it from hypercity for 30K

I have heard both. I would say Yamaha sounds better in HTib section than Denon.

one query from me -

how it sounds for music as it doesn't have tweeters? And the 50watt 6.5'' subwoofer can handle the movie bass requirements in a 14x12 room ?

I also first looking for an HTiB system. But later on the advice of members I went for separates. I'm very happy that I did not buy HTiB. if you can increase your budget then go for separates.

Here is my thread link when I was looking for an HtiB > http://www.hifivision.com/home-theater/31764-onkyo-hts-3500-vs-denon-dht-1312-xp.html

Here what I bought > http://www.hifivision.com/home-theater/35407-denon-1513-wharfedale-ms-100-speaker.html

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
