Couple of weeks back got a call from YOU broadband that they have coverage in my area (T.Nagar) and asked me if I am interested for a connection. I ignored first but after several calls from the sales guy went ahead and got trapped. They claimed a 33mbps line Rs.1750 for two months with 200 GB limit. Now after taking a cheque and debiting the money from my account they came back and said that the connection in the area is not possible now as they could not get the approval certificate for cabling from Chennai corporation for this area. I asked them to return the money and they are not doing it by simply stating that they do not have anything to do with accounts. Their call center is pathetic and they do not even give you a complaint number and just washed their hands off the issue. I even updated in their facebook page with a complaint but nothing seems to be working.

Any suggestions to get the money back?

Did you try with their "Online complaint form"? After you submit, you may get a reference number. If not take a screenshot. Wait for the time-frame for them to close your issue. If not, take it to TRAI. They will handle it.
You have this on their site.

Did you go through this? Sure there should be way to get your issue resolved.

Their online complaint form does not work. There is no hyperlink. After several days of talking with their customer service I atlast got a complaint number and have been promised that the issue would be solved in 4 working days. Let me wait and see.

I would advise not to trust such new ISP service providers.

I have heard several similar issues in Delhi-Gurgaon and had exact same experience myself from Tikona Broadband there. They took money to install and it worked only on the day of installation!

Later on, technical guy from Tikona came after several complaints and confirmed there is no signal in my area. I did not try much to get a refund but as suggested by other members above, you should try registering a complaint with them first.

If not resolved, go to appellate authority for your state/region (Google search should give you the website/email ID) and lodge online complaint with full details. The next stage is nodal authority.

Also, write a mail to them copying appellate ID and Nodal ID which should shake things up.

This is based on my personal experience ( worked for Airtel earlier in Hyderabad).

Hope this helps in some way :)

They gave the connection a week back and so far it is good and the promised download and upload speed is there. Hope they stay like that without any hitch.
