Zotac goes to HTPC

Seeing from the review it looks very good. One thing which i liked the most is that the BIOS screen works on the hdmi port so there is no need to have the monitor cable attached during the intial stage of configuration. My motherboard gigabyte 880GM USB3.0 does not support so whenever i need to make some changes in the BIOS i need to connect the monitor cable and change the same in my tv as well to PC instead of hdmi. This looks like a complete htpc solution and also at a affordable price.

Something is terribly wrong with your motherboard BIOS settings. I have used Gigabyte 780G board and I am currently using ASUS 785G board. I have not used a VGA cable in the last 4 years. Never found any problem.

:licklips::licklips: Is this available in India? What will be the approximate price?

Zotac Zbox is available in many variations, from a full fledged HTPC to barebones version. Prices start from around 20k and go upto 40k for high end models. They even have BD drive models (with slot loading). Found a dealer in Delhi selling it on Ebay.in. Also availabe against orders in Chennai.

Exactly my thoughts!! I have an 880G usb3 mobo lying in my cupboard waiting to be assembled, and I grew tense after reading that post! Then I recalled my 780G did not have a problem. Alarmed me for a second phew!

Oh thanks for correcting me. I did not know that this is supported and had a feeling that the video drivers needs to be installed for the hdmi to work. Can you tell me which BIOS settings i need to change so that it can display the BIOS settings when connected thru hdmi cable. When I hit del button during the BIOS screen logo when connected thru hdmi i get a black screen and my tv shows "unsupported signal check your video signal"
