Amps with bluetooth vs wi-fi

Hi fm's,

I was curious as to know why certain amps use bluetooth as against wi-fi for streaming via a phone/tablet etc in an era of good internet bandwidth. In my limited knowledge, wi-fi seems to have a broader bandwidth hence the quality would be better due to lesser compression. Besides considering even the superior connectivity with wi-fi .

Convenience

Actually it's been ages since I have used bluetooth option. Wifi is something used more often in my case. I guess each one's usage differs.

1. No need for a network router
2. Ease of connection, even a visitor can connect his device easily
3. Resolution difference not perceivable to most users

Bluetooth is much more easier to implement. Wifi needs a robust streaming platform with software support, hence amplifiers which integrates one costs so much more.
