Finally joining a forum. I've tried to joing Facebook groups, but lose interest or get distracted answering the questions to join.

I own a lot of speakers. I've previously owned even more. My wifes biggest rule now is no more speakers. My dad worked at a HI-FI audio store 4 years in college. He brainwashed me well. Or honestly, maybe it was genetic. I don't remember talking about it before it was my passion 😅.

I had systems in all 3 bedrooms (2 5.1s and 1 7.1), a 9.2 in the the living room, and 2 outdoor 6.25" Definitive Technology speakers plus an atrium sub. I downgraded the guest bedroom to a Definitive Technology Mini 3D soundbar and sub and honestly loved it enough to downsize the master bedroom with the same sounbar.

Now I'm consolidating surrounds into the "media room" when I game and watch shows on my PS5 plus also having my PC setup.

So basically I know have a 7.2.2 Atmos setup in a 100 sq ft room. It's extreme overkill, ruins the sound integrity, or whatever. I don't care. It's awesome and fun 😅. Plus I already owned all the speakers. I just had to get a 9.2 receiver.

So I have in this 10 X 10 room:

•2 Definitive Technology DM40 Towers
•Definitive Technology DM20 Center Channel
•2 Polk FXi A6 Speakers (Side Surrounds)
•2 Polk FXi A4 Speakers (Back Surrounds)
•2 Klipsch RP-140SA Dolby Atmos Speakers (As Front Heights)
•Definitive Technology Descend DN10 10" Powered Sub with Isolation Pad
•Klipsch Reference R-10SW 10" Powered Sub with Isolation Pad

•Paired with an Onkyo TX-NR797 Receiver
•55" Sony Bravia XR X90K TV Specifically Compatible With My PS5
•Philips Hue 55" TV Light Strip, 2 Play Bar Lights, and Sync Box

So a humble media set up my wife definitely appreciates fully 😅

Not sure how video attachments work on here, but i do love the Philips Hue Lights a lot
