Hi,
I had purchased a Pioneer DV 220 dvd player a fortnight ago. It has an USB port. Whenever I play a .avi file / Divx file through the USB port, the sound quality is very poor. The sound volume increases when I increase the volume i.e. to -10 (BTW I am using a Denon amp. AVR 1604) but the quality is hopeless and without any clarity. So I disconnect my amplifier and listen the sound from the TV set only. Can I know the reason behind it? Though the downloaded movie is in AC 3 / 5.1 format still the panel display of the amp shows PL II Cinema or NEO.6 but never 'Dolby Digital' which i expect. Of course DTS is out of question. This happened in all the downloaded movies.
Let me know if there is any other method whereby I can retain the splendor of 5.1 sound through the USB, or is it that we cannot expect good quality sound from the USB.
With regards
