Hi!

I have a Sherwood 5004 player. it was great until yesterday. While playing it suddenly stopped sending video/audio signal though it keeps reading the disc. I switch it off and switch back after 10 min it agin plays for some time.
I thought it was the HDMI cable tried changing but still no signal. My setup is the BD player is connected to a AVR and then to a TV.The AVR seems good when checked with other device. Can somebody help.

Dude i already posted for the same..but my place is Bangalore...None of the so called gurus didnt even bother to reply...so good luck....check elsewhere...this is not the place.....

Try other than HDMI outputs like AV or component....

Cinebels service sherwood amplifiers though I am not sure about bluray players.
Check with them in
No.20, Moors Road, Park Circle, Nungambakkam, Chennai - 600 006.
Ph: 28222851

In my views, it is not worth giving to cinebells, they doesn't do the service of their speakers itself properly( delayed like anything) within the time frame.

However check with local richie street guys for the same or try to update the firmware or try to change the cables - pass thru component as suggested by kannan.

Regards

Hi,

Thanks Sub have tried hdmi out to tv same problem. I need procure component cable and then try before approaching a service centre.

Tks Srini ,Kannan .It worked through component ; silly of me didn't think of component port mind fixed on to HDMI ( Srini, borrowed cable from my neighbour )audio through Co-ax ,though did not support HD audio.Saved me a new BD player.Tks all again

congrats, why not route the component and optical/coax through your AVR for enabling HD audio

Optical and coaxial will pass through 5.1 DTS, DolbyDigital and LPCM. For 7.1 and HD audio, HDMI is needed.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
