Hi everyone.
I am looking for a Blu Ray player that works fine with MKV files at 24hz. Anyone advise me, please ?
TNX

I have brought Sony 4100 BDP (3D/2d-to-3d Conv.) for 9900.00 INR. It support almost every format.
Other option: Samsung 5500 is also good option (7000.00 INR).

Peler, I am little lost to understand your requirement. Why do you want a Blu-ray player to play a computer file? Regular Blu-ray players from the likes of Samsung, Sony etc focus more on the disc playing part, and their media playing capabilities are always compromised.

Better option would be to look for media players that can play ALL your media files. Some of them can also play your discs.

Cheers

Sorry, I don' know media players...
Do they play MKV at 24 hz ?
Can I connect media players to an AV Receiver and get DTS-HD Master Audio sound ?
THANKS A LOT

Media players can play ALL media types. Some media players such as Dune play FullHD (Blu-ray rips) and can also handle 24/192 audio.

Cheers

Hi

The best Blu Ray player is no doubt the OPPO and yes it is way to expensive to own (60k - 110k)

I did own a media player once (Amkette) and it did read all the possible formats and outputted DTS 5.1 and 1080p / 1080i video without a fuss...the Disadvantage was you could not play any Discs and for that you needed to own a DVD player.

Over the past 10 years or so I used multiple models of DVD players and Pioneer is indeed the best in terms of performance in Video and Audio output.

Last year I finally purchased a Blu Ray player ..the Pioneer BDP 150 which is an entry level one but performs well, it reads 1 TB external hard disk without a fuss and all video formats. The audio output is good thanks to HDMI and analog connectors it has. There are 2 USB ports one in front (to connect pendrives / HDDs) and one in the back. This player is now at my mom's place.

I traded up to the BDP LX 55 which boasts of a better video card (similar card being used in OPPO) and excellent sound card. This player is indeed true value for money. Whatever movies I downloaded from the net play well with DTS or 5.1 surround, Multi Channel formats etc. There are 2 HDMIs which has helped in ensuring separate signals for audio and video....outcome is better delivery of what you want to see and hear....

The Biggest advantage is both players FIRMWARE is upgradable through USB via download from the internet....you can check for further details and SPECs on these models...The models I use is US type Region "A" "3" which reads all possible formats. So I have one player which serves all the purposes...tomorrow if someone gets a disc...I can still play it. Honestly nowadays most of us use the external HDD or pendrives for music or movies...

These players are 3D network ones which are connected to the Marantz AVRs I have...hope this helps...end of the day you need to see what appeals to you and your wallet.
