Why not Pioneer VSX-823K for a decent budget AVR !!!

@naveenroy, have you checked with local dealers like DNI, HT store, etc in Bangalore. I find the local prices to be lower than online prices.

Also, VSX-823 is 2013 model. VSX-824 is the 2014 model. The launch got delayed due to some issue with HDMI chip. I recently saw VSX-824 listed in Pioneer India website.

Yes, I checked with them and they were not able to match the pricing of the online stores. Well, I don't really mind an older model - and the price is lesser so I will have to go for the older model.

Can someone please clarify what will be dealer name printed in Invoice for the pioneer AVR bought from HifiMart.? I am not able to see Hifimart as an authorized dealer in Pioneer India website or am I missing it?
Will Pioneer India warranty applicable on these AVRs ?

They might not have up-to-date info the website.. Sometimes you purchase bill will act as proof of warranty.... Talk to Hifimart support team for more clarity...

Warranty should be applicable for goods purchased from hifimart....Try to get in touch with Pioneer cust support team & find out....

Pionner UD has refused to honour warranties of receivers sold by non authorised retailers at Amazon.com. Did some research recently while getting my receiver and eneded up buying at BestBuy for this reason.

Great! Don't it have dual voltage input? I recently bought VSX524k from a friend (Without bill/warranty). It is having 110 V/ 220V dual input.
