DIY Speaker kit Pluto

Anyone have experience with the below kit looks good for me

Pluto-2 omni-directional loudspeaker

Mine was not a kit. It was a fully assembled speaker. It was called the Audio Artistry Beethoven. It was an open baffle design. It was Linkwitz first design

Not exact topic of this thread but is there anyone who can build diy speakers based on such designs?

I am a noob and light years away from building a speaker myself but there are couple of speaker designs of Troels Gravesen that left quite an itch. Want to know if there is anyone who does such builds to take help of.

You can contact bibin/bijin in our forum who own the diyaudiocart.com site. I think they build custom speakers based on some designs to some members in the forum.

Pluto like designs you can build you need to buy design from him you can check his site and he sells his design with reasonable price.But we need to buy the exact drivers opted by the designer those driver will be costly when you buy from outside if anyone can carry it then it would be a worth.But this design is active.IF you starting from scratch then this should be a worth consider project.

pluto is SPL limited. so is LXmini. I have heard LXmini and its way better than pluto design. but both are good. with LXmini, you use dsp xover which makes electronics simpler while pluto uses analog xover ckt which is bit complicated by diy point of view.

Use design philosophy of Pluto, make your own. It is easy. Speaking from experience. My pluto clone is with another FM now. He seems happy. Check my related post and blog. It may help you make your own. I didn't use active xover, and my column was not a closed end but a mass loaded transmisaion line design.

That Pluto design seems to be copied in the Oskar Heil - aulos and syrinx too. I have been pondering that design and may copy it complete with the HEIL tweeter. The speaker in a pipe design somehow looks far far far uglier to me than the wooden trash can look of the Kithara.
