I have the LG B6 55". Have been using it for about 3 months now. Absolutely satisfied. It is everything I expected from an OLED. I have had absolutely no issues with the processor or WebOS as well.
My two cents - it is not an early adopter TV at all - it is a second gen (or third?) OLED, but more importantly comes with no compromises at all. It has a true 10 bit panel, supports both popular HDR formats: DolbyVision and HDR10, has enough processing power to handle true 4k HDR. Being an OLED, there is the obvious advantage of true blacks, but more importantly, this panel also has more than enough brightness level (unless you are in a super bright living room), and also has the best wide viewing angle you can hope to find in a TV panel. Sure, it is not as bright as the Samsung KS8000 series but it is quite sufficiently bright for most. And also does not suffer from bleeding or poorer contrast or poorer wide angle performance like the Samsung. And in a dark room, the TV is ridiculously good. The panel just "disappears" and the images often appear to float and mesmerize you.
The image retention is a non-issue for me, despite the fact that we watch a ton of TV with logos and what not. I also feel WebOS is an extremely well implemented OS, and some of the 4k HDR content I have watched on Amazon Prime such as some episodes of Mozart In The Jungle were absolutely stunning and the TV did a great job of rendering and playing without any issues. The remote is not some fancy touchscreen tablet like Vizio but is well implemented and the pointer and scroll works really well in WebOS. ARC has worked quite well too, especially when switching between the TV's built-in apps and external video source such as STB or Roku.
I went with the
rtings review and
calibration settings and it seems to be decent. I might try the AVSForum one as posted above.
My only two cents: The 55" has become cost competitive but the 65" is still double the price of other top of the line 65" options, at least in the US. Considering how close the Samsung KS8000 is to the LG, it might be worth picking it up instead for half the price (if that is indeed the price differential in India too).
B6 55" is available on
Amazon for $2k and
65" is for $3k. 65" KS8000 is
for $1500 though or half the price of 65" B6, but the 55" KS8000 oddly enough
is $1200 which is almost the same as the B6 55" - at least if you compare it with ebay price where it is available
for $1500.
