16GB pendrive not working with Yamaha RXV585

Hi,
Need help with this. I have a 4gb and a 16gb pen drive. 4gb supports usb 2.0 and 16gb supports usb 3.0.
My Yamaha RXV 585 can detect 4gb but not able to detect 16gb drive. not able to understand what is the issue...

By any chance, have you formatted the 16GB pendrive as NTFS ? I believe RXV 585 supports only FAT16 and FAT32

Yes, the pendrive is formatted in NTFS, I will format it in FAT32 and check.

Most AVRs are designed to handle FAT16/32 only ...it is also upto a certain level of file layers....refer to the owners manual...there is no 100% guarantee that the pendrive will work or even be detected

Let me check with FAT 32, I will update.

Formatted the drive in fat32 and it's working fine with the AVR.

Good for you.......Sometimes as mentioned in Owners Manual..even the FAT32 drive may not read.....so be mindful about this caveat!
