2.0 speakers for 22" LCD

hi,
Have a LG 22" LCD..as usual the audio is tiny..works ok for the bedroom..but sometimes..watching DVD becomes irritating..have a TSKY STB and a DVD player connected..so cannot afford space for a woofer..
also, dont need it on a higher volume side..not like a Home theatre..
just something to boost up the "flat" audio..

so, may be a 2.0 speaker be a good option ? can please someone advise what would be ok ? which brands, models...

1. Not expensive..2-3 K.
2. Dont need a earth shattering, room rocking, body enveloping volume/audio.. just give some depth, some "body" to the LCD audio
3.space constraint, so no woofer

check for altec lansing ATP3, or its replacement if its discontinued. used to cost about 3k, might be cheaper now. its 2.1, with a small sub. the depth you're talking about is basically low frequencies, and that can only be provided by a sub.

Logitech Z4. its a 2.1 and sound really good for music and movies.
