I liked 8005 with Opticon 6 for few solid reasons...
The sound was very open n clear/ I Enjoyed the silky high frequencies with enough punch at the bottom.
I wrote in my post that recording quality of some of the music I listen to is not good because it belongs to 70’s/80’s era and 8005 had three tone controls (base Mid n treble). I liked the mid tone control the most as it helped me in controlling the vocal frequencies. Which were making the sound shrill. It handled that part very well. I am more or less certain to go for 8006 with Opticon 6 but in the last stage of finalising it.
