2D screen act as 3D.....no need to buy 3d screen

Hello every one

I have seen a product at 3Dnow.com website which re-iterates that it will produce a 3d image n movie in a 2d frame which can be seen through their specialised 3d glasses...i just wanna know...whether the depth and image produced is very accurate like the present 3d screens are producing...i mean...will it work with no loss of a single bit of quality...if you personally had experienced this product or any friend of your...then please share your reviews...there are bunch of reviews over net..but i cant rely on that...there is a demo video also on you tube...but it doesnt speak about quality...though it may work...but the accurateness is most imp to me...thanks in advance

It might have issues of flicker for 60hz screen as 60hz is not sufficient to view a 3d video. Nvidia first tried to come up with a similar version of their 3d vision kit but it was not performing to acceptable standards and hence they made 3d vision only to work on 120hz displays.

So even though this might give some 3d effects still it might not be good for long hours of viewing. so better to thoroughly read reviews of this before buying it.

Its the same product as 3d Vip theater. 3Dnow is their reseller. There is a big thread about it at avsforum.com. You can find more info there.

There is definitely issue of flicker at 60 Hz.

Also, for active 3D, no separate screen is needed. If passive 3d projection is used, then a polarizing screen is needed.

is there something that can be done....so that i can use my existing plasma screen for 3D view...let me give me details....i have panasonic 42" PV8 plasma HD screen...its about 2 years old...so shud i sell it or any modifications possible for 3d view

3D takes a lot of effort to get working satisfactorily and even more effort to be enjoyable i.e to get the right tv with the right screen size, then right compatible devices like 3d br player, 3d glasses and htpc or console. After all this the right content.

So it takes a lot of things to get right for 3d. anything less than that will make 3d difficult and strenuous to watch and underwhelms. A bad 3d experience will make you consider it a gimmick and you will not watch it for more than 15 minutes and will stick back to 2d.

So unless you spend a lot of time and effort and get all the right equipment and software do not even consider 3d.

If you want to buy this 3dnow equipment please read a lot of reviews and make sure it works well atleast to acceptable levels or else it is waste of money and time.
