Yesterday, I visited the Furniture Fair at Bangalore. There was a stall that was promoting a set-top box, which was capable of displaying 3D content on 2D TV. They displayed a set-top Box connected to a LCD TV. They also connected a DVD player (regular) to this convertor, which generated Red and Blue overlapping pictures. To get the 3D effect, they had provided a RED and Blue glasses.

Do any one have more information this convertor?

Do u really require such devices?....u can get hundreds of (rendered)anaglyph videos/movies to download from the net to test anaglyph 3d on 2d tvs with those red-cyan glasses...but the main question is,will u be really satisfied with anaglyph 3d?

Considering the fact that 3D TV technology is yet to mature considering the side effects, I was wondering if this technology is going to evolve over a period of time.

I currently have a 40" Sammy LCD TV and have no plan to upgrade to 3D in near future. So I was exploring the options of utilizing my current TV for 3D viewing.

To be very frank, the demo given on the convertor tool did not impress me at all. Because, I felt the original colour was lost due to the conversion.

So I am trying to explore other options.

so,the answer is already on the wall...u won't like the fake/cheap older anaglyph 3d,....try some real 3d, rendered on current/latest 3d video rendering devices on displays which r certified FHD 3D...& i say u will notice the brilliant difference!

Also 3d is NOT liked by many & u can equally follow suit...
