Hi Guys,

Buying my first 32 inch 3D LED TV

Which brand is better :-

1.Sony 32HX750

2.Samsung 32EH6030 or 32ES6200

3.[/B]LG 32LW4500 or 32LM6400

Q1. Hw much does motion rate make a difference???
Q2. Active or Passive 3D???
Q3.Smart TV worth the hype???

A1. Motion rate and turning on anti-judder features makes the picture quality worse. This is not my opinion but those of experts. Look for high refresh rate TVs. Google the terms and understand the difference between refresh rate and motion rate. Refresh rate is true measure of TV's smooth picture capability. Motion rate is more of a simulation.
A2. Spare yourself the agony of buying 32" 3D. 3D is not enjoyable on small size TVs.
A3. No. You can do better over a laptop.

Look at the many 32" TV threads that are open.

Hey,
Thanks guys.
I have 2 problems here.

I cant go bigger than 32 inch.My bedroom is too small to hold anything bigger.
I will be using this Tv for 5-7 years.I know 32 inch 3D looks a bit off.
But the way i look at this is...
I will be using 2D content 95% of the time. But,There is lot of 3D content coming in the future and I want to have that option open to view it.
Wt say guys????

A 32" 3D will be unnecessarily costly. And don't bet on a lot of 3D content. Apart from movies what can one expect? If you are thinking of downloading, each movie will be 15-18 GB in mkv format.

Why can't you have the TV in the living room?

My suggestion: Hold off 3D for now. Buy a 32" HD-Ready LCD TV for bedroom costing no more than 25k. After a suitable period, when 3D TVs also get a little cheaper and there is more 3D content available, buy a 46"+ 3D TV.

any advice!

Exactly, 3D wouldn't be enjoyable on a 32" screen. Rather change your size preference to 42" in which size you can have the LM6400, which is one of the better passive 3D TVs in India. If PQ alone is the deciding factor, stick to 32HX750.

Hi guys,

Ya there was a vote on this and I lost :P
The TV stays in the bedroom .
btw it doesn't make much difference though.I live in a govt flat the room sizes are more or less the same.

My max budget is 60k.
I was hoping to pick up a 32 inch LED 3D tv and a PS2 but now I am stuck.
Need your help.

Thanks

Hi,
I am planning to buy a 40" or a 42" LED TV this festival season. I am seeing some good deals in ebay.in. Is it trust worthy to buy TV's from those sellers? Has anyone have any good or bad experience? Most of the sellers are from either Noida, Gurgaon or Delhi region. I am from Chennai.
For eg, i saw a Samsung 40" LED for 36k whereas the price of that in showroom is close to 51k. What you guys suggest?
Kindly reply.

These ebay sellers are selling tv's with dealers warranty or servopro warranty which is useless. Basically they are sellers from grey market that's why they are abe to sell at low prices. Few friends have been using TV's brought from gaffar, delhi and they are still running nicely.

So it's better to talk to the seller and check tv (take your time while checking) and then buy it offline instead...

or go for manufacturer warranty if you want peace of mind
cheers :)

Not being brand specific is one thing but this would be just too much compromise. Onida TV's are a tier below the brands Nirvana is looking at. And more importantly, it's a 3D enabled Smart TV in question and Samsung and LG are the top two in Smart TV apps and interface. The only plus in Onida seems to be the QWERTY keyboard.
