32 inches or 40 inches full hd tv

buy plasma.once u see movie in plasma u wont try led and lcd.try it.go to a showroom and try same hd file side by side in plasma, lcd and led.also plasmas are cheap.34k u will get semi hd panny plasma.
I hate leds.......all movies look like hd tv series.......

well said........I'm glad you understand the advantage of plasma over LED!!!

but i heard that sony has the best after sales service.Do you have any comments regarding this.

Sony is surely good and they also offer extended warranty (AMC) on their HDTV at a very nominal price (something like 5-6K for 2 years)...

but one very imp point as u will see mainly sd channels........dont waste ur money buying expensive tv....sd channels do not deliver contents which will create decent picture at 40 inch or over.buy a semi hd 32 inch.....u will get it at 25k maxxxxxxxxx.

but yes if u really want to enjoy hd world(movies now hd,star movies hd,star glod hd,sony hd,zee tv hd...they really deliver hd content and most importantly hd sound).then go for panny plasma...here also at 6 ft veiwing dist u wont need full hd...at that money buy 50 inch plasma....
but remeber u wont be able to watch normal sd channels they will look ugly at that screen size......only true hd channels......

now decide 32inch semi hd lcd/42 plasma/50 plsma....

some like the overly bright led display over plasma..just think if that would be the standard all hollywood studio/theatre halls/blu ray recordings would maintain the overly bright standards..........but no they all maintain plasma standard..I mean the picture looks, the picture style....
so plasmas are boss always.....

I get tired of trying to explain people about plasma technology when most only want to look at LED/LCD. Feels nice to see someone thinking on the same lines...........its important to create awareness and educate people, keep it up!!!!

I was almost on LED camp till I joined this forum. Now I am die hard plasma supporter. But I guess that sometimes to some people plasma is not the correct solution.

yah right kix.. peoples viewing vary from person to person.

hd movies from hd channel/dvd play/blu ray play------nothing except plasma.
hindi sd serials/regional sd serials/sd sport--------shd not spend much than a semi hd 32 inch lcd.wud be waste of money.that money can be used in sound system
discovery channel hd/nat geo hd/sports hd---full hd led/plasma according to personal preference of picture color

if there is one tubelight in your room its okay for plasma...our living rooms are never bright as the showrroms...so as per ur need that is
1.hd movie from hd channel and from hd contents from hdd
sometimes news...

right??I belive u r a movie watcher like me hehe

in that case u shd blindly go for panny plasmas...nothing personal with panny or sammy..but panny has maintained an active R&d in plasma plus they are giving 3 years warranty
but belive your eyes not other's suggestions.
bring some very good files in the showroom...some lights off....cinema mode on...
compare plasma/led-lcd/lcd side by side...and then decide.
or play star movies hd/star gold hd/movies now hd.....there is no other hd movie channel presently in india.......

42inch semi hd plasmas is only within 35k around dont buy full hd 42 inch u wont notice the difference
...if you want 50 inch...then try semi hd 50 and full hd 50 side by side...belive me, there is difference... but u may want to save ur money over the difference.

that is why I am suggesting you to compare side by side some real full hd content on a full hd display and semi hd display simultanneously from ur hdd or a blu ray player in the showrrom.u can judge the looks whether semi hd or full hd at ur budget.

a full hd movie is around 8Gb..

if budget is not a constraint......simply buy 50 inch full hd plasma..around 60k I think u will get that.pls dont buy led...
after side by side compare you will feel the difference of plasma and led/lcd-led when seeing a dark scene shadow detail or close shot of skin tone.....and then u will start hating leds...

plasma panel should be sold at half price .

the scary problem of not getting parts in 2 years can be added to the drawbacks of plasma.
I am sure there are many people who will want a serviceable TV for coming 3years .

any valid reasons for this ? or just believe from manipulated threads

Not sure of this logic or reasoning but in any case, there are lot of things which "should" happen but do not happen...

How about - May be LEDs "should" be sold at 1/3 the price...

Most techs when started phasing out are being sold in less price...it happened to crt..then dvd players..most of dvd players are so low priced...even last year models of bluray players soon to be off production are sold lower price than original price..just my observation.

That trend has already happened - the prices have come down... and will continue to do so.. and its not just phasing out of technology that reduces prices, it is done by mass production also...

I am sure all of us remember how LEDs were priced way higher than they are today, does not mean that they are being phased out...

Agree on last year models being lower priced with new models/technology hitting the market...

Newer leds are higher priced than the same level models of last years..bluray players are launched with higher price..

the reason is i did not know anything about display..so just went to showroom and bought sony 40 inch...after some days I was also in lcd camp as I bought it.but to check what actually plasma display is I got some hd content and went to a showrrom and compared side by side lcd/lcd-led/plasma..........

and I forced my brother, cousin, friends everyone to buy plasmas.........they all thank me now but I am irritated in my sony lcd dark scene and skin tone..hehe.
saving money to buy a plasma....oh have u checked the green colored grass or tree color in lcd and plasmas.....
do u think original greenery has that scary plastic type super green color.also lcd/leds cant reproduce natural soft red...they all show higly saturated plastic red..not natural.

belive me there was a sony full lcd-led 40 inch...sony full lcd 40 inch and a semi hd panny plasma 42 inch.the others were not even close to the deep blacks and shadow detail and most importantly skin tone of the panny...
I belived my eyes not any hearing or manipulated thread my friend.:)

U also try it.but yes the persons like movies in theatrer halls will love plasmas....
who like overly bright discovery channel/tv series like picture..they wont like plasmas.
