3D HD - Truth or Gimmick?

Dear members,

I was demo-ing 42LM7600 & Sony HX750 yesterday for a friend of mine. One of the dealers mentioned that only Sony\ Samsung offers 3D HD whereas the others [LG] offer the same only in HD ready mode or 520p.

Can anyone throw some info on this?

Yes that's true. In all LG Passive sets each eye sees 540p at any given point, it's not Full HD 3D.

Only Passive sets that do Full HD 3D are LG and Sony 4k TVs
