If you want active 3D then Panasonic Plasma and if Passive then LG LCD/LED

+1 to what illusion_heart told.

Frankly, I am not a fan of 3D, but from whatever I have seen, I liked passive 3D for the ease of use and inexpensive light weight polarised glasses.

Passive 3D - Glasses are light weight and does not need power supply. They are available from Rs.250/- onwards. On the flip side, 3D viewing angle is limited.

Active 3D - Glasses are heavier than passive and need battery. They also cost around Rs.4500 or 5000. View angle is much better than passive.

If you google you will find lots of information for and against both technologies.

Take a demo of both active and passive 3D, decide which technology you are willing to have and then you can choose the TV model.

chk this out ,the passive against active

I bought 42" LG LW6500 and I must say that the 3D expereince is amazing. I also compared it with Sony and Samsung's 3D models and I am happy that I opted for LG

Thank you all. I guess I have decided to go with Passive as it is lighter and less expensive. Above all picture quality is just great in LG LW6500 47". One question I still have in my mind if you guys can help. LG LW6500 is it a full HD 3D?

Sculptor as passive TV tech cannot produce the Full HD pixels . so i guess its half of resolution .

I have checked LG , Samsung , although the 3D Demo CD in showroom shows the objects coming out but i cannot experience the level of smoothness the Samsung 3D TV
shown in LED 7 series , i was stunned with the experience .

I donno if the same 3D experience is even with Samsung Plasma 550 , running very actively in this forum , Guys can you comment on the same for Plasma 3D Experience .

Although LG will give a good package deal , better and more affordable glasses but to me 3D karizma was with Active Samsung TV , comply less brightness with LG but great depth in Quality .

And also its just MY experience , your might be different and also its regardless of technology used . ( might be LG and Panasonsic is using better ) .

passive can make 1080i

New Tech!: LG comeback is massive with passive.

How much is the price for "LG LW6500"? If possible please let me know the best price. I am planning to buy tomorrow.

Finally !!!! My first 3D TV will arrive tomorrow. Its LG LW6500 42". I hope I got the best deal. First they quoted me 8700K but after negotiation they quoted 8500K + One Bluray Movie (TRON 3D) inside 8GB USB + Scratch Card.

And I am the first on to get LG MH-4048GW Microwave Oven after Scratching the card. I will post more when I get the television. I would like to thank you all for being their.
