Hi gurus,

Came across 42V20 in one of the dealer showrooms. It's the last piece and the dealer says, "it's in mint condition but one problem - the stand which comes along with the TV is broken, only wall mount available". I believe the stand price should be around 2k.

Is it advisable or worth taking the risk to even consider buying a demo piece from showroom, if the visual appearance is flawless and picture quality good??

I can try to negotiate the price considering the demo + missing stand issues. How low or % can be reasonably negotiated, if the market price is around 58K???

Any advice by the earliest will be appreciated as I may finalize the deal this weekend, if it's worth!

Thanks in advance,

Mighty

Re: 42V20 Demo Piece in Showroom, is it worth to pursue? - decided not to go ahead

As I specified in other thread, I decided & bought on samsung d450, since this piece looks too risky for me. If anyone else is interested to take the risk, the piece is available in croma, mount road, chennai. Remember, only one year warranty from pana, no additional warranty from croma, only bubble wrap packing, seems to be used for 3+ months.

Thanks,

Mighty

Check the usage, will help you calculate the number of days the piece is on the wall. Also, if warranty is available or can be bought by you.

hmmm - so if anyone else is interested in picking it up, it can be a good opportunity. Since brand new is for 53k in chroma, see if you can get the demo piece for 40-45k. It would be a good deal.

Demo piece will come with only service or repair warranty , no replacement warranty as told by croma people. :)

That is indeed a great price for new V20. The 50" for 80K is tempting but I am holding on to demo GT30. Has anyone visited Maurya Electronics near Khar station West? Those guys offered tempting prices and used to stock Pioneer.
