46" and Above LED TVs

hi All,

looking for a basic LED tv Full HD 1080P............with no 3d and SMART TV Features. it should be 46'' inch or Above

Kindly recommend or share your thoughts.

Using Sony KDLW800A since last 9 months and I am more than happy on picture quality . Though the model is discontinued by Sony and they have made the next model KDLW850A cheaper so I guess you can consider that as well . This has also come with Triluminos display which will provide you more dunamic brightness .... btw ... I am not aware of any other "smartness" apart from the picture quality a TV has to offer . So cant provide you any other recommendation in that aspect.

No Birendra, they're not plasmas. IIRC, Sony discontinued making plasma TVs in 2006-07. The models suggested by Sanju are LED TVs.

You can check out Sony 48W600B / 46W700A / 46R452A.

Other models you can check are :

Samsung 46F5100
Samsung 46F5500
Panasonic 50E6D

You should mention your budget too.

suggest to stretch the budget a bit and get the Samsung 51F5500, the best tv for the price, will beat most LEDs for the same price.

Now you need to decide the size, features, connectivity, output, usb feature etc required and go window shopping and do a side by side comparison and see what appeals to you in appearance, performance and ofcourse budget.....see the screen from side to side....viewing distance etc.....

The unfortunate truth about TVs today is that they only last for 3-9 years....warranty plays an important role and hence the only brands offering 3 years is Sharp and Toshiba....heard that Panasonic too is offering more warranty...not sure...

A no frills basic LED TV 50 inch would be the Toshiba L2300

Vijay Sales / Croma / Reliance Digital may give some MRP discount and offer it for 75-78k.....check with your local electronics dealer and see what he can offer...I got this TV for a friend from my local dealer for 67k with the same 3 years warranty....

SnapDeal / Flipkart do sell TVs cheaper....some of our forum members faced delivery issues and had bad experiences.....better not to walk this path....

If you can stretch your budget...see the Sharp Quat series....excellent viewing experience...
