48H6400 Samsung at 64 K? Kidding me

I think he's really kidding! really unbelievable price. By hearing that price, the red alarm bells in my mind. There is a big chances fraud is there. Olx itself tells some precautionary methods, which should be followed by one who wants to go ahead.

Reasons for that price...
May be they are demo pieces, selling repacking them as sealed ones which many newbies wouldn't notice .
May be they're getting imported illegally without intn'l warranty, etc, having some sellers warranty (which is anyway not useful in case of fault arises).

If possible call them and go further safely like you would purchase, you can understand by their words whether they are professional or some frauds, see the box packed set physically, get the serial no. of the tv, confirm with Samsung India CC and its warranty. Don't let them for door delivery, and finally pay only if everything satisfies you (I dont think you want to do it!!!). If u or they did this, share ur exp here for the sake of awareness among us.

Make sure it is not scam. Many Nigerian offer such kind of unbelievable price for expensive items and ask to deposit a part of the whole payment. They are not located in India but posts these ads in selected cities like Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore etc.
e.g. Yamaha Aventage AVRs are available at the price of basic Yamaha AVRs (what a joke) :D

Yeah + 1 to everyone,

I would have given a chance to gohead with this deal. I would definitely say no and try to invest bit more and get it in a Showroom, Even in Hyderabad you will see these kind of deals for LED televisions and High End SLR, Most of the ad's will not have any phone number and what they will have is email id and skype id (Ultimately thats not going to help in anyway).

Right now the situation is like - The dealers itself not concentrating on after sales, then how can we expect someone to help it out.

Regarding the Ebay link - If you are residing in delhi, just call them and try to visit them in person and if you feel its genuine, then you can go ahead :).

One of my neighbor bought a LED TV in grey market, with in a month - no picture, then they have replaced the board, it costs them close to 10k.

Ideal thing is just add 10k more than the price they quoted and you can try to get a good model in the showroom or any authorized dealer - You will get peace of mind as a gift :)

Ebay is better secured and not like the ads in OLX. Yes, you can visit the guy in person and buy the goods. I have bought 100% box packed mobiles by 12k less than market price with Dealer warranty.

But incase of TV, it will be opened and checked in the seller location. All these TVs most probably been switched on and tested. So please don't expect the usage hours to be nil. And even after meeting the seller, please buy it through ebay only and not in person for ebay assurance.

This is not as risky as grey market because these TVs are normally sent back to the origin country incase of faults as the warranty will be honored there and not in India. Some sellers have a deal with local Samsung centres where the Tvs are repaired locally and sent back. The cost of shipping has to be borne by the buyer with some sellers and sometimes refunded.
I may be checking the product in Chennai. Will let you all know if that happens.

But still, there is a degree of risk and hassle in this. Just ensure that the benefits outweigh the risks.
