4k led tv between 75k to 1.25k. Advice needed...

The difference in pq between lcd led and oled is huge..and any comparison of the two would be like comparing apples with oranges..lcds (led) known to be brighter are only relevent when viewing is in highly lit areas like hotel lounges or airports and not so in home viewing where ambient light can be customised to get the best out of your panel..a panel with HDR 10 and dolby vision capability should be considered as these are the future...oled contrasts are best appreciated when you increase the brightness without losing the richness in the colour gamut..unlike any lcd led..recent launches with quantom dot lcd leds do offer matching pqs and motion processing but are pricy..and definitely cant match the true blacks produced by true led/ oled...top contenders are lg..samsung and sony..my take would be that if you are buying a tv in 2017..and going to keep it for atleast 4 years..it has to be a technology that endures the advancement and bring a smile on your face every time you switch it on...you can definitely look for 2016 models to suit the budget...am using panasonics vt 50 plasma channel...and can vouch the difference in pq as compared to any lcd led...good luck for your purchase

Thanks for all the input guys...but I am inclining slightly towards the samsung KS7000 49".
Any particular views on this model and it's comparison with the KU 6470'are most welcome. I know they are models in two different leagues. Just want to know whether the KS 7000 justifies its higher price tag. Also if I want to save some money, is the 6470 a good option?

@Dolfin: I think I read in some other thread that you own a 49" ks7000. As a special favour could you please measure the distance between the two feet on the samsung stand? Just wanted to know how much minimum space is required on the table top to accomodate the stand. Thanks

@argurpreet321: Out-to-out distance is about 106 cm (length) and about 25 cm (width - two nodes of Y shape). The stand is slightly slanted out from the base and almost covers entire length of the screen. I am measuring distance where it's feet touches the table.

Anything specific which goes against the KU 6470?

@argurpreet321: There's nothing against the model, it's just the PQ is not comparable. KS7000 is SUHD line with 10bit panel and Quantum Dot technology that enhances colour gamut. Internationally its UltraHD Premium Certified model.

If you are planning to do HDR setup anytime you will not regret selecting this model. On the other hand if you are not going to have it, there is no point spending extra money on SHUD TV.

I have some media in 4K HDR. The PQ in HDR vs non-HDR is vastly different for the same resolution (4K).
