The difference in pq between lcd led and oled is huge..and any comparison of the two would be like comparing apples with oranges..lcds (led) known to be brighter are only relevent when viewing is in highly lit areas like hotel lounges or airports and not so in home viewing where ambient light can be customised to get the best out of your panel..a panel with HDR 10 and dolby vision capability should be considered as these are the future...oled contrasts are best appreciated when you increase the brightness without losing the richness in the colour gamut..unlike any lcd led..recent launches with quantom dot lcd leds do offer matching pqs and motion processing but are pricy..and definitely cant match the true blacks produced by true led/ oled...top contenders are lg..samsung and sony..my take would be that if you are buying a tv in 2017..and going to keep it for atleast 4 years..it has to be a technology that endures the advancement and bring a smile on your face every time you switch it on...you can definitely look for 2016 models to suit the budget...am using panasonics vt 50 plasma channel...and can vouch the difference in pq as compared to any lcd led...good luck for your purchase
