I have set up scenes.. but i dont think volume level is associated with each scene.. only input.. output.. sound program and such are associated..

Refer to owners manual..the volume level feature has to be there......

I don't know about your model.. but volume level is supported in my RXV683

In 683/685 the scene parameters are assignable.. but in 585 it is not.. only input.. output.. sound program.. enhancer.. these things are associated with each scene.. not volume :'(

Yes.. volume trim I have already done.. upto +6db max for each source it supports.. even after that the STB volume is very low.. Turning up the master volume of STB to max has helped a bit.. now at -20db I can listen properly.. still for other sources -35 or -40db will do..I think problem is with cable operator only.. also the stb is HD but doesn't support dolby audio.. so I have called up the guys.. and they said they will give me a dolby supporting STB..

Are the speakers by Telome good to used with the Yamaha AVR 585

Yes....infact Telome store uses a Yamaha avr as demo...so hear the speakers and decide...

They have copied the Bose Jewel cubes very well...sound also quite good and punchy.....
