5.1 Speaker Setup

Hi,

I have a LG LED with Optical audio out , LG BD550 bluray player with coax out and Airtel DTH STB with Optical audio out. Now I wanna buy a 5.1 speaker setup and connect all of them. Also I am on a tight budget within 9-10k.

Please suggest which speakers should I buy.

I really liked the logitech Z906 however they are close to 20k.

Please suggest !!

In order to enjoy true(not virtual) 5.1 surround sound, you need a speaker system with optical and/or HDMI input and dolby/dts decoding capability. No other speaker system within 10k are having optical in. I am not sure about sony,samsung,lg Ht system though.

z906 can be had @ 16.7k here I had purchased this from this seller 1.5year ago.

you need to extend your budget and around 22k you will have far more superior options like Yamaha Ht196, Pioneer etc.

I have to agree with gurujee's suggestions. They are quite good and its on your budget but if you could extend your budget you will get real 5.1 system.

As you have a very tight budget, I urge you to take a look at Edifier C6 5.1 speaker set.

I believe, you can get better deal than the one listed above.

Those speakers got respectable ratings and reviews internationally. The only drawback is that it doesn't have HDMI or Optical Input.So, if you can live with it, then it will be a very good by, specially at that price.

You can also take a look at F&D speakers, I don't know the exact models but I believe they have a collection which fulfills your requirement.
