Hello,

Im looking for 55" tv or above.

can be led or plasma ..either ..

Price budget : 1.5 lacs and below( but the tv should be value for money)

3d : not really required..

Usage : Tatsky HD + watching movies / shows connecting with my laptop via HDMI


Pls advice urgent..need to buy this week.

there are couple of options for 55 in at sub 1.5 lac range from Samsung and Sony.

Sony ex720 - great value for money with fantastic 2d quality. has addition 3d and smart tv functionalities. You should be able to get this at around 1.4 lacs. Only negative is average 3d quality, also the looks are not stunning.

Samsung D6600 - great looks with very good 2d quality. 3D is also good at that price range. Also has smart tv functionalities. This should be around 1.6 lacs, but with little burgain you can get this at around 1.5.

If you dont need 3d, then you may also consider Sony;s EX520 or Samsungs D6000 series which offers great 2d pictures.

Finally, you can have a look at LG 5500 series too, which offers great passive 3d feature and prices are much lower than other TVs in this segment. However 2d quality is not at per with Sony.

If 3d is no big deal , check LG 55 LX9500 series. You can get it for 1.3 approx.
