Any reviews of this
SAMSUNG 65 INCHES 3D SMART FULL HD LED TV 65H6400.

I am looking for a 65 inch TV .

Following are the shortlisted

VU 65 inch flat panel (NOT UHD)
Samsung plasma - 64F8500 Pl(Limited availability and high power consumption)
and Samsung 65 INCHES LED 65H6400.


Budget is around 1.5L extendable to 2L max.

Any other models welcome ..

viewing is Mostly HD content from HD setup box .

Demoed VU tv , will create a seperate thread on the review, so far the feeling is mixed.

plasma my choice..forget electricity bill..bcoz any one who spends on highend will not bother running expense ..e.g bens car/bmw owners are least bothered about mileage...
but plasma drawback
1. needs dark room
2.panel reflects light
3. no qhd
4.no passive 3d
but but but
simply superb outstanding picture ...
among led check out panasonic then samsung then sony..never lg and micromax.

I have been researching the VU panels, many folks who have bought them are happy. No complaints. There is a thread on the site about VU.

On a tangent: If you have a good budget, and darkening room is possible, then consider projectors. A full HD DLP is available in the market for 70k or so. And the screen? 120-140 inches. Beats any panel. Of course, it need dedicated space, takes time to boot up, needs cooling, but it is definitely worth it, IMHO.

Projector is out of question as my home furniture is all done for a big tv and also family wudnt prefer anyways.

For now i own a Pany Plasma 42PV80 and honestly whatever i have demoed doesnt even come close to the picture quality of pany .

Sony 4K TV seems to be much better in terms of PQ but the budget of 65 inch sony TV is out of reach on the other hand i tried the VU TV with a 4K upscaler and picture was much better. I am not sure if 4k upscaler is a must as far as possible would like to buy a TV without any additions as it woudl spoil the decor of my living . I want to keep it minimum possible buti havent ruled out VU either I am going to records few HD content and play thur USB and check with and without 4k upscalor to check the pq.
