Hi,

I have a pair of 6 omh speaker that i want to connect my amp.
Now the amp is A,B 4 - 16 omh, and A+B 8 + 32 omh
After a bit of searching i found that connecting a 6 omh speaker to a 8omh amp would be a bad idea. But ppl are always talking about 2 pair of speakers for the A+B setup.

What if i connect 1 pair of 6omh speakers in A+B. I would think it's not the same as 2 pairs and that i would be safe. My speakers have 4 wires running out them and it would be easier to connect them.

This is my amp: Pioneer A-10-K
And thees my speakers: HIFENG No.2 SPEAKER

As per the amp spec its Speaker Impedance (2 Speaker Terminals): 4-16 ohms (A or B), 8-32 ohms (A+B), 4-16 ohms (Bi-Wiring)

So if your connecting 6 ohms/ch on A connector then your free to connect speakers ranging from 4 - 8 ohms/ch on B connector.

  1. CONNECT the amp's A spk out to the low input of speaker
  2. bridge + low with + high on spk with golden plate or short wire
  3. bridge - low with - high on spk with golden plate or short wire
