Advice for whole house network (new construction)

Adding my 2 cents:
Since you are mostly into music, try to get some false roofing done and run warm white LED strips above in a way to provide indirect lighting. They'll suffice your day-to-day activities and provide a very good feeling without glaring at your eyes. Also plan to control them via dimmers. Philips Hue has some options in that as well. I got it done in my living room and everyone is pleased with the results.

Also, plan for dedicated Atmos speakers (x.x.4 if possible) in the ceiling with the wiring done and install quality speaker wall plates. You never know when upgraditis hits you ;)

Thanks. Which post are you referring to?
I am gong with wired ethernet and one ceiling mounted access point on each floor.
Still work in progress. The network cabling will be done shortly.

Ok. I meant to ask which (if any) was the access point devices you had selected. Some select mesh like orbi, deco m4 etc. Others install several router's as AP's (with the same wifi name)

Also, while nobody can predict the tech in future, please do consider atleast cat6a cable for the network backbone.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
