My 2 cents, radio stations use very high-quality equipment, but generally the sound coming out of a radio station is rarely high quality. Hence, the choice of cartridge for broadcast turntables in radio stations, was generally based on a different set of factors. For home listening, with a decent chain, these factors may not be relevant. For example, when I moved from Stanton 500 in use with the SP10, to Shure V15 III, it was like coming out of a black-and-white picture and entering the world of coloursomehow putting a cheap MM on an EMT 938 feels like putting entry level apollo tyre on a merc![]()
