I just bought Equator D5 after auditioning them against a few good active monitors like Genelec, Focal etc. These are receiving rave reviews on audio forums and seem to be the FOTM.

They sound very natural to me and I am very happy with my purchase.

Sorry for the late response. The auditioning and purchase was done in London. I paid GBP 349 and I am hoping to get a GBP 50 VAT refund

I couldnt find a receiver + passive bookshelf combo up to GBP 1,000 that could beat these speakers. I must add that I wasnt able to audition the highly acclaimed KEF Q300.
