Miroflex: Haha that's okay, no need to take any trouble, it'll have to be brought up by me verbally. Also, don't expect too much of my persuasive abilities, I'm the junior-most member of the team. All I can do is make a suggestion and state it as reader feedback at one of our meetings next month. Whether anything will come of it depends on a bunch of factors such as content decisions, advertising space, quality of reader response, etc. Slightly complicated process...

Ali,

Welcome to HiFi Vision.

I have been an avid reader of your magazine (and What HiFi forum) for last 4 years and subscribe to it as well. Firstly, I would begin by saying that the editorial quality and content of your magazine has improved tremendously over this period. There is more accuracy, consistency, relevant product information compared to when I first started reading it.

Keep up the good work - Nishant Padhiar and Team!

I can understand that you have a small editorial team but please try and get your magazine out on the stands (and delivered to susbcribers) on time. I do not see it on the stands on the largest bookstores in Bangalore until half the month has passed.

regards,
Shyam.

Hi Shyam,

Thanks a lot, appreciate it.

The problem with timing is unfortunately something that can't be fixed immediately as the same team also works on another publication under the same banner called Stuff Magazine India. We have to first complete Stuff and then move on to WHF, which is why we sometimes are not able to complete the issue on time to hit stands at the beginning of the month. Last month, our anniversary issue of WHF was delayed by over a week for this reason. We're working on streamlining the process, but as of yet we're still far from ensuring that. Another issue is that we're based in Mumbai, where the issues are printed. Because of that, there is a bit of a delay in shipping copies out to other cities.

Hi Ali,

Were you able to discuss my suggestions in your meeting? Were there positive responses? Can we expect some positive action?

Regards.

Miroflex: Yes, mentioned that a reader suggested that letters seeking advice be published... The bosses have to take a call on that but basically the problem is that the inquiries that do come are very basic and are usually concerned with matching of equipment and questions about which dealers to contact for what. It doesnt really meet quality standards to publish basic information like that, though we do try to answer all queries that come through. As far as the coupons idea is concerned, that's marketing/advertising departments domain. As editorial, our views are often ignored on those matters just as we ignore other departments opinions on editorial quality :p
