Alternate remote control

Hi guys,
I have a phillips HTS 4750.
Recently my remote is not working (yes i changed the batteries) hehe and i basically cant see movies through my usb cause the usb button is only on the remote.

Is there a universal remote i can use to make this work?
Everything else in on the player itself except for selection of the usb.

You could also look for logitech harmony URC. These can be configured via internet and the database has almost all type and make of remote controls.

thank u so much but i still cant understand which one will be a match for the HTS4750...believe me i ve been trying to get some info on the net but keep hitting a blank wall...thanks...

Why don't you simply buy a replacement remote control? It will be a much cheaper option. There are two shops in ghatkopar who sell replacement remote for all and sundry brands, I had got my replacement remote control for my samsung LCD from there, works like a charm...I am sure there will other shops like this elsewhere in Mumbai.

The den for all this is of course lamington road, there are a couple of shops which just sell remote controls nothing else, you can try there also...

i tried in croma and they had no clue about anything! And i bought my HTS from croma!
There are so many options for the philips universal remote i just dont know which one will be a match

The croma guys are bunch of idiots, they usually are clueless about anything over the two line spiel they have been told to memorize. The shops I am talking about are essentially old world proprietor shops, they are pseudo wholesalers, and these replacement remotes are unbranded, but new. they cost between 100-400 rs., and they usually are flexible enough to sell it with the caveat that they will take it back if it doesn't work with your device
