hey guys ,

does amazon accept debit cards? i tried making payment using andhrabank(visa) and united bank (visa) but was not able to make payment.

which bank debitcards work?

thanks you.

I believe that debit cards marked with "International Debit Card" on the face may work, like in HDFC cards. You can see below its printed at the bottom on the card, a very small font.

I suggest you try using HDFC or ICICI Bank's debit cards, they are international debit cards.

okay dont have both these debit cards..will have to do it with credit card only i guess.

on my andhra bank debit card it is written international debit card..still it doesnt work.

I tried Netcard which withdraws money from Bank account & can be used as temporary CC.
Some how transaction could not be completed with amazon.uk.Same I used on ebay.uk,it worked.

You can use axis bank debit card for transaction on amazon. A few forum members I know are using it. I have tried VISA international debit cards of SBI, Union Bank, Federal Bank etc. but none of them worked. If you have hdfc online banling then you can create a virtual credit card.

Amazon does not accept PayPal.

Infact some Bank doesnt allow direct transaction even via paypal. So I use Netcard option which worked with ebay. The best is you can enter desired amount to create Netcard & it expires within 2 days.So very safe I think.

Both my Axis Bank and HSBC debit cards work fine.

Paypal I've never tried but I don't see why Amazon will not accept it... unless its Indian Paypal accounts in which case its the Indian government/RBI to blame.

Even my ICICI bank debit works fine on Amazon.

Amazon doesn't have option of using Paypal to make payments. They had it long back. But since Ebay acquired PayPal, Amazon stopped the option of payment via Paypal (Amazon and Ebay being arc rival in US), instead they have concentrated on developing their own payment gateways!!

How to create netcard?

How to create netcard?

If you have Axis bank account then get internet banking. You can create a temporary net card which will take funds from your bank and you can use the net card for one transaction. If not used or any unused funds remain (you used only 800 out of 1000) then all the remaining funds will be transferred back to bank account in 3 days.

Personally I don't use it for Amazon. Anything that has one click payment option i.e. they have a record of your card its not useful.

But its useful if you don't want to share your card details but it will mean entering all your payment and address details each time you want to shop.
