Hi all, recently bought this player and connected to my Philips home theatre using optical out. But I am not getting the true 5.1 sound from that. Any one using this player please advice.

I use this product and have no problem getting 5.1 sound. Could it be the settings on the amplifier? You could try another file. Also a speaker test on the amp can help rule out any issue with the amp setting. Otherwise, it just means that one of the components or cable is not functioning correctly.
