Hi All my search for a stereo amp begins though this acquisition is targeted for the 1st quarter of 2012 I thought it prudent to start my research right now. I am looking for amps like Rotel/NAD or anything in that range which would be matched to Paradigm Monitor 9/11, PSB Image T6 Loudspeaker, Epos Epic5

Your thoughts, view and suggestions are most welcome while i kick of research, audition ...... for these components - Thank You

From the title I thought you have laid hands on some French Amp :)

Rotel and NAD should do great with your gear. So any planned auditions?

Hi Olly , I dont know how you buy the equipment. But I have bought all my equipment without auditioning and I am very happy with the purchase so far. Dont confuse too much about the system you are going to buy after 6 months. Start saving the money, who knows there may be some very good sale happening in the HFV at that time and you can grab it. Dont narrow your choice to certain amp and speaker.... Happy hunting.:)

Deepakgang was planning to get the line up right first before auditioning. Gather more info from this forum and then start. Also have to look at the $$$$ so going a lil slow :)

psb and nad are sister concerns and match very well. the rotel is a very finicky amp and doesnt match with quite a few speakers. in saying that they do match very well with others.

it all depends on your listening habits, budget etc. what you do you want out of a system. what sort of music do you listen to. do you like a warmer sound, or neutral or bright. if you start there we will be able to help you better

AFJ the listening range is wide right from heavy metal to trance , sufi music to bollywood, western classical to indian classical to jazz, rock, soul. Budget would be around 1 to 1.5 for speakers and amp. I prefer to have clear sound with good punch and detail not sure which bucket it comes under warm or bright Need some guidance here

Cheers,
Olly

you should also audition then the monitor audio rx6 speakers. very versatile set of speakers with clean sound. the nad matches with it very well but is a slightly warmer sounding amp so not so great for heavy metal and trance though extremely good for the rest. you could also listen to the marantz and cambridge amps on the speakers. imo in that price range for speakers the monitor audio tops it
