hi friends,
i am new to this wolds of hifi vision. After joining this forum i have read almost all the posts pertaining to home theater, AV receiver , projectors etc. and i am very much impressed
During my search of good LED TV, Home theater from Sony , Samy, Pany, I entered in this treasor of hifi vision. In result as expected i dropped all my ideas of LED TV, Sony, Samy Home theator etc. and decided to go for projectors AV receiver and separate speakers. Ok, that is my plan to be fulfilled over the period of one year due to budget constraint , but it is final to go for this. I would certainly required help from the genius FMs for this. I will start separate thread for this, when i will be in proper financial position for the the same.:)
Now my question is that,
I am having ten years old AIWA 3 CD changer ( Audio CD only) which is not in functioning properly. I wish to use two speakers of the same. The speakers of 30 Watt with 6 Ohm impedance ( AS written on the speakers),till my HT system installs. (If needed i can post pics of speakers)
Can i use these speakers with a Stereo Amplifier, if yes which amplifier shall i go for. Please help as i not having proper knowledge in audit Engineering . The Amplifier with USB will be more comfortable.(i have asus o play mini). I will also prefer used one. Regarding budget I do not wish to spend more as i have started to raise funds for my dedicated HT.:)
Thanks guys,

Uttam.

There are countless options. Without specifying any budget, it is difficult to make suggestions.

When you say amplifier with USB, do you mean USB input for DAC capability or for music files playback?

Thanks guys,

Uttam.

You can check DNM Audio. They have USB playback along with the integrated stereo amp.

I am primarily a 2 channel (stereo) guy. I was about to suggest the names of a couple of stereo amplifiers when I noticed that you were planning to setup a Home Theatre (HT) system, and the Aiwa setup was just a temporary solution.

Keeping your HT ambitions in mind, I would suggest that you go for a good quality 5.1 or 7.1 AVR (Audio Video Receiver) such as Marantz, Denon or Yamaha. You can connect the Aiwa to the AVR and listen to music in 2 channel for the time being, and once you purchase the HT speakers, you can run the entire HT system with this AVR.

Future proofing! I think that's the right word here.....

Best,
APK

are you sure your mini compo doesn't have an auxillary input? seems rather strange. if your amp section is busted, repairing it might be a trivial affair. getting an amp for a pair of mini compos when you are planning to get an HT doesnt make sense

Hi uttam,

I would also suggest what APK has written/ suggested here..

Keeping your future plans in mind, it would be good you go with good AVR rather spending some 5-8k set up now..

Thanks,
