My amplifier has only ONE source input.

Is there any method-mechanism-contraption available in the market to allow this amplifier to be fed by more than one source?

By this I mean, if Source1 and Source2 are connected to a 'device', I should be in a position to select manually (by using this device) as to which source should feed to the amplifier.

What is this 'device' known as?

Hi
Most of the devices commercially available for this purpose, which are known as A/V splitters, usually have inputs and outputs for left and right channel audio and composite video. I've also read (don't remember where) about equipment available abroad for what you have in mind but I do remember that it was quite expensive.
this page shows some options: A/V Splitters & Switchers - The Circuits Shop - Electronics in Meccano
this product could be the solution to your problem though one would have to check the detailed specs: FourWay Stereo Audio Switch Box : AV Splitters Switchers : Maplin
hope this helps.

Apart from the splitter option, you can also use an RCA male connector which allows you to connect more than one source. Since the signal being fed into the amp is a line level signal, which is going to be amplified, all you need to do si to ensure that only one source is switched on at a time.

You can see if there is enough space to drill an extra hole at the back, as well as to mount a selector switch in front. This function is normally provided by a preamp.
