When are the new 2015 Sony LED TV expected to show up in the showrooms here in India?

With the manufacturers pushing UHD LEDs, is there any chance that the prices of 1080p 42 and 48 inch LEDs will fall this year here, especially those from Sony?

2015 range will generally show up only after Feb or march. Yes the way uhd is being pushed there is a high chance that they may become very cheap. But again in India we may never get that price benefit. However it is yet to be unveiled @ces. Also note that oleds will now be the craze again. Technology is changing everyday. Also note that 4k technology is still just starting to get popular. But maybe in India again we may not get much of the 4k content. Videocon d2h plans to start with a 4k DTH service but you cannot say how much time or will take. So just wait and see.

Thanks rayvonnee. By the way I was asking whether we will see the prices of 1080p TVs decreasing this year with the manufacturers increasingly pushing 4K TVs.

With my 29" CRT TV showing its age I am just about starting to move on to the 1080p LED LCD TV bandwagon, so the 4K sets are going to be a bit beyond my reach for some time to come.

With a seating distance of over 10 feet, LED TV sizes between 48" and 55" seems to be the sweet spot. Anything less doesn't seem much of an upgrade. But then the entry price point of a Sony 42" and 48" LED TV at around Rs.60000 and Rs.80000 respectively seems a bit steep.
