Hi,

I'm looking to sell my LW5700 TV. As it's only 5 months old, i have 7 months of residual warranty. Would be great if someone could confirm on whether the person who buys the TV from me would be able to use the remaining warranty. I see no reason why it shouldn't be that way, but want to confirm.

Also, is there any formality to be carried out for transferring the warranty to the new owner?

Thanks!

As a rule, warranty is not transferable on resale by private owner in the case items as mentioned by you.
But for warranty claims, companies need only the bill for proof of purchase date and authenticity of purchase as per their terms & conditions.
Companies don't verify, if the name printed in the bill belongs to the person claiming the warranty. So here you just need to hand over the original bill to the buyer.
