Time now i move on to a better phone.

Requirements :

good camera.
good gps.
3g.

budget 30 k.

Have used S2 for some time and so S2 is ruled out...

best bang of buck i could figure out for 30k + - 1k is galaxy note.

strict budget so HTC one 'x' and galaxy s3 are a no no..

members please suggest options.

I am not happy with the camera of note. Its not so good.

Try something newer.

then few options left include sony experia S.

droid razr maxx ..

pour in your suggestion..

also would like to know what's not good in the camera.

focus, exposure .. for if some settings can be tweaked and if it can give result as much as an S2. for phone camera will be used for junk regular pics.
for photography needs i have a superzoom bridge. but still need a decent camera.

If you are not looking for apps or touch quality, try the nokia pure view 808, should give you the best camera phone ever.

Sony experia S is great especially the HD screen with a higher DPI than the apple retina display. Elegant and durable build and the icecream sandwich upgrade has been released.

The sony camera is also pretty decent. You should read some online reviews as they provide test images.

I would go with razr maxx for its long long battery life n none closer and yes the high end finish of moto unlike cheap plastic f s3 n sony

if u know of anyone coming from US get teh galax nexus unlocked sold by google for 349 dollars..u will be the only one with a jelly bean phone

have been in the same boat..but all the friends i know as of now are going there and non returning. infact i wanted to get a helmet as well but the plans shelved.

pureview for sure should be a good camera but a 41 MP does nto makes sense as the sensor on it will be cramped just like a P&S pixel race. also
the hardware is not worth the price they are asking for 33k will still check on it.

will check on the xperia S. the screen is definitely attractive. just that it has sharp edges.. will try grabbing one again this weekend and see how it feels.

yes razr maxx is one of my favoured choices for the capable hardware equal to S2 and the battery life.. only concern is the AS.. if anything goes wrong..

another issue with note is the size being too big for i would not be able to put it in my jeans pocket and ride around.. either it will crack/break else i will always be scared to do the same.

I own a Galaxy Nexus and if you can somehow get your hands on it,, its one hell of a phone ...... pure pleasure to use ..... plus all updates and every priority by google is given to this phone and will be given to Nexus line of series there on.

I am eagerly waiting for Jelly bean, It was rolled out today, and my phone should get it in a week or so .....

non expandable memory.. market price is around 25 odd so completely budget.. will check tomo in grey.... but phone certainly is good..

checked on a few phones.. Note 2 is on the way.. though it wil not be my choice.. but for that the original note should see a drop in price.. will check more this weekend and update.

does anyone here trust SONY hardware???:sad:

i certainly dont

i sold my Galaxy S plus to a friend [5mths old-pristine condition-8k less than what i bought for] and went for S2. [already have Nexus S - which is used by wife as gaming console:rolleyes:; and picked up Galaxy Note a couple of months back for my father which he uses for his old song streaming from Youtube:):)]

the reason for picking up S2 were : 1] budget was not to exceed 30k
2] wanted a screen >4"
3] since i already had Note, that was ruled out
4] Did not trust Sony hardware though the specs of XperiaS are outstanding and a great value for money

hence, S2 was an automatic choice

went through a similar regime last week when we were looking for 25-30kish phone for my friend.. he picked up XperiaS

i would strongly suggest to experience the pure / venila android of Galaxy Nexus. Try your best to get a hold on that. My Nexus S is still supported by prompt Google updates. within a week's time it should be updated with 4.1 also. thats the joy of having a Nexus device. its only natural as for the cell phone manufacturers [i mean any mfg like Samsung, HTC, Sony, Motorola.....] who use a heavy overlay of their own UX on any adroid device, there is no benefit to upgrade the old models as they will need to spend man hours coding to adapt the new update. whilst Nexus devices, carrying pure unadultred Android OS need absolutely no effort from mfg. all the hard work is done by google team. in a way, any Nexus device is a google device rather than a Samsung or Asus!

GO FOR GALAXY NEXUS. its a steal if you can get it in less than 30k.

Great choice. Congratulations. Weren't you getting HTC OneX in a similar price range?

How much did you spend on the SGS3 ?

As for the apps: get tapatalk. A great way room enjoy hfv and other forums alike

htc was infact 3k cheaper than s3.. s3 burnt a hole for 38,200...

the htc screen looks better for its closer to the gorilla glass also the camera is better but thats bout it.. in performance benchmarking.. the tegra quad does not stand a chance in front of the sammy snapdragon quad...

i have already rooted the phone and will be loading the cynogen kernel today they have clocked it till 1.8 Ghz.. wanna check out how it goes.. though i plan to underclock it to 1Ghz and use it there for some time till i get some good apps running 4 threads to utilize the 4 cores.. good phone... havent used it much yet.. but blazing fast...

S3 is a good choice. I found it a little too large, and a bit too expensive, and not one with best build quality, for ~40 price. But the large screensize is very good for some apps, and it is so slim! I
But I think performance wise, it is the phone to beat this year. Wonder what iphone 5 will have up its sleeve.
