There is a small milli second audio sync problem with the new LG LM6200 LED TV. I'm using Onkyo 3300 for the 5.1 sound output along with Airtel HD. The strange thing is the audio lag is seen in some channels and in other channels like in HD channels there is no audio lag or even is some SD channels there is no lag. I've tried to sync the audio by tuning the A/V sync in the Onkyo Amp but the problem still persists. However the audio and video syncs perfectly in all channels when viewed and heard through the TV speakers. Any suggestions please?

Is your system hooked up in the following manner?

Airtel HD ( HDMI output) to Onkyo 3300 (HDMI1 input)

Onkyo 3300 (HDMI output) to LG TV (HDMI1 input)

Yes. Also the Xbox, Blueray player,WD player are connected to the Onkyo Amp and all through HDMI. As you have mentioned there is only one HDMI cable running from Onkyo to LG TV. Earlier I had this same setup with the Samsung LCD and did not face this problem.

Then the issue is with the TV-- Switch to another HDMI input on the TV

Since the OP has mentioned that there is no syncing problem when he switches to TV speakers, I will say that the issue is NOT with the TV itself. However, you are correct in suggesting to try another HDMI port.

(To the OP) In fact, LG LM6200 has 4 HDMI ports, and the bottom one is marked as ARC - try connecting the HDMI cable to your HTS from this port. I think this should solve the issue.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did try the bottom one marked as ARC but it still has the same issue. Strangely the problem is only with SD channels and the audio syncs perfectly with HD channels.

slight off topic
use spdif from airtel to onkyo digital audio in for true DD sound..
airtel does not throw in dolby via hdmi...so no use stb---avr---tv via hdmi
and connect airetl hdmi to tv hdmi directly.
it will may solve ur present issue also
